We hope the residency will:

  • be a period of inspiration, reflection and challenge
  • build a network of enduring connections

  • be the beginning of ambitious collaborations for the future
We hope this residency will spark performances, projects, networks and friendships.

We are looking for artists who are:

  • able to demonstrate a genuine interest in socially-engaged practice, site-specific and immersive performance
  • excited by the unknown and by possibility

The residency is open to applications from artists based in Wales, South Korea, India and Japan.

What is on offer?
As a participating artist, all the following will be paid for:
  • all travel (international and domestic transfers to and from the residency),
  • accommodation
  • full-board catering
  • shared working spaces (indoor and outdoor locations)
  • some technical equipment for use in documenting work/process
  • support/mentoring from NTW and TUIDA staff throughout
  • Please note, depending on your personal circumstances, you may be required to apply for a passport or VISA to be able to enter South Korea. This will need to be undertaken at your own expense.

Please note, the working language for the residency will be English and Korean. Applicants must be aged 18+, and not in full time education.
