Hello, I'm Clare Pillman
I am a Board Member

Clare was appointed Director at the Department for Culture, Media and Sport in March 2011. Clare grew up in North Wales, and, after university in Scotland and London, she joined the Civil Service in 1992, spending time in the Department for Culture, Media and Sport, the Treasury and the Department for Constitutional Affairs. Clare was appointed Director of Her Majesty's Courts Service (HMCS) Wales in 2007. Prior to that she had spent three years as Area Director for HMCS in North Wales. During this time she was also Chairman of the North Wales Local Criminal Justice Board. Clare was awarded an OBE for her work on the Millennium Celebrations, and was a Trustee of the Institute of Cancer Research from 2002 until 2013. She became a Trustee of the North Wales Building Preservation Trust since 2012. Clare lives near Mold and commutes to London each week.
