Before this Welsh adventure I was Executive Producer at the Donmar Warehouse where my highlights include producing Othello with Chiwetel Ejiofor, Ewan McGregor and Kelly Reilly, and setting up the Donmar's year-long West End season. Before that I was Head of Studio at the National Theatre, London under Nick Hytner where I worked with an incredible mix of emerging and leading theatre-makers on projects tiny and vast. Working with writers has always been my particular thing - I spent five earlier years at the Donmar Warehouse as Literary Manager and Producer of a new writing season and I took a long detour in the film industry, commissioning, developing, and working on feature films. I started life as Assistant Director and Assistant Administrator for Kneehigh Theatre, making much-loved work with a huge sense of place in fields, on islands, at sea... This whole journey of work makes sense and comes together here, now, in Wales...
A long time ago I got a first class degree in Drama from Exeter, and more recently an MA in Philosophy from UCL.
