I am Rhian the Administrator at National Theatre Wales I was previously the Wales Coordinator for Voluntary Arts Wales and manager of Arts for Us, the Community Arts Team for the City and County of Swansea . I was the co-ordinator of the 2005 year-long festival of participatory arts, Arts About Swansea and was Company Manager at Proper Job Theatre in Yorkshire. Before joining National Theatre Wales I was Founder Director of Halen Associates, delivering organisational and project management for Cultural and Creative Industries.
Whilst at Voluntary Arts Wales, I managed a strand of the Carnegie UK Trust’s Rural Action Research project examining the role of culture within the wider regeneration context in rural minority language communities in the UK and Ireland and took part in the Inquiry into the Future of Civil Society in the UK and Ireland.
I have a BA Hons in Fine Art and in recent years have been working in textiles, exhibiting my work and teaching others in formal and informal educational settings.
I am a past Chair of Swansea Arts Forum Trust and a Director of Community Dance Wales.
