NATIONAL THEATRE WALES

Rhiannon Davis (Finance Manager)

I'm the Finance Manager of National Theatre Wales. Following university in Canterbury, I trained and qualified as a chartered accountant with a top twenty firm of accountants in London, and then returned to my hometown of Cardiff and continued briefly in accountancy practice before moving into industry. I worked as a business auditor in the airport industry, on occasion in places as far afield as Chicago, Florida and Bolivia, and then as a financial accountant in the banking sector, after taking a short career break in 2005 to study German in Vienna.

At the beginning of 2007, I moved into the arts sector, taking up the role of financial controller with Welsh National Opera, where I stayed until coming to National Theatre Wales as its finance manager in June 2009.

Outside work a lot of my time is taken up with going to the theatre and rugby matches as well as various musical pursuits – playing the flute with Cardiff Concert Orchestra, saxophone with a local music group and conducting a flute group for young people.
