Hello there. My name is Steve Grant, and I am the Finance Manager of National Theatre Wales.

A qualified accountant (CPFA), with a B Sc (Econ) honours degree in Accountancy from Cardiff University, I most recently worked for Caerphilly County Borough Council, occupying the Chief Accountant role for seven years. Before that, my career started with Swansea City Council, and progressed via Mid Glamorgan County Council. Worryingly only one of these still exists!

Born and bred in Cardiff, and an experienced financial manager, with a track record of achieving improvements, I’ve led the implementation of major technical accounting projects, and developed financial policies and training. As a member of CIPFA’s Local Government Accounting Panel for Wales, I’ve also developed accounting standards.

After a career in local government, I took a cultural leap, jumping into the arts sector with National Theatre Wales. Joining such an innovative organisation at an early stage in its existence has been an exciting challenge that I’ve enjoyed. Working with inspirationally creative talents is a real pleasure, and I hope to play a key role as the company successfully progresses through the next stage of its development.
