Emerging Producers & Directors

Emerging Producers

Who is it for?
This is an opportunity for producers with limited professional experience to develop their producing skills  working in the role of producer to support the Creative Development programme

How does it work?
Two Emerging Producers will be selected each year to work on a range of projects, all with a focus on supporting process-led development of new work. This will include Located Residencies and Professional Development Labs.

The Emerging Producers will be supported by NTW to increase their knowledge, skills and contacts, while establishing enduring links with a dynamic pool of independent artists.

The artists they work with will benefit by receiving one-to-one support, helping them to consider further opportunities for development, production or touring of their work, plus possible funding avenues. This work will also benefit the wider sector contributing to the number of producers working in Wales

Emerging Directors

Who is it for?
For those who have little or no previous professional directing experience, but who are keen to give it a try.

How does it work?
The Emerging Director position is an opportunity for artists interested in working closely with more experienced lead artists/ directors, gaining close-up experience of their practice and inside knowledge of the creative processes that go into making one of our main productions. This role is a key component of the creative team of any NTW production and requires attendance during rehearsals, production week and performances.
