Assembly

A different kind of creative opportunity

National Theatre Wales Assembly programme runs alongside our main productions and offers participants the opportunity to experience theatre as a space for exploration, discussions and shared experiences.

The event might take place in the same spaces as the main shows, or somewhere very different: The library, the pub, the playground, the park, the community centre or the launderette– We’ll work with local residents to discover the right place to inhabit for a week.

Working with a teams of local musicians, performers, artists, filmmakers, hairdressers, bakers, shop assistant, bus drivers, dog owners, tea drinkers etc...We’ll create an evening of performances and discussions about what really matters in this particular place at this particular time.

You asked, why didn’t the Ryder Cup leave a legacy on your everyday life? Your questions showed there are ghosts haunting Newport: in your memories, histories and promises not yet fulfilled.
