Designer callout for school based project
Designer callout for school based project
Immersive primary schools project
This January 2025 NTW TEAM will be producing an immersive theatre project across three primary schools in Cardiff as part of our funding from the UK Shared Prosperity fund.
As part of this project we are looking to connect with performers and a designer who will work with director Duncan Hallis and the wider NTW TEAM to devise and deliver this project.
We are looking to employ a designer to support the creation of a physical installation which will tour each primary school in January 2025. The exact nature of the installation will be devised by the whole company, including the designer. The designer will collaborate with the company and respond to the devising process, leading on the aesthetic world building of the project which will cover set and costume.
The designer would work closely with the director to help create the world, taking part in the R&D process and being present throughout rehearsals and performance weeks.
FEE: £3450.00 total (6 weeks @ company weekly rate of £575 per week)

A note about National Theatre Wales
Whilst we work towards a new vision and future, we are continuing to support theatre makers, artists and creatives through NTW TEAM programmes supported by the UK Government through the UK Shared Prosperity Fund, which is being administered by Cardiff Council.
This activity includes the launch of new NTW TEAM initiatives Young Collective, TEAM Collective and The City Socials, a series of events that will pop up in spaces all around Cardiff over the next few months. Keep your eyes peeled on our social media and newsletter for the next events.
