About Up My Street

A Team Collective event with Julia Thomas

Come and take a walk down Queen Street in an immersive journey where fiction, history, and the everyday collide. 'Up My Street celebrates a street in the heart of Cardiff, where new stories are born every day.

From the faded grandeur of the Capitol Shopping Centre – once a symbol of modern shopping – to the powerful presence of Aneurin Bevan’s statue, where crowds gather to stand for what matters, Queen Street has a lot more to say than you might expect.

This is a chance to experience the layers of history, the moments that defined the street, and the people whose voices echo through time. Created with participants of the Wallich’s Invisible Cities and Story Project who have been impacted by homelessness.
