Rhiannon Mair
"I work extensively in the theatre world in Wales as a performer, dramatist, facilitator and educator. I specialise in devising theatre work and my recent work includes her one-person show with Volcano Theatre, Ar Llan y Môr, and a major research and development project that looks at the relationship between climate change and the disappearance of minority languages with the artist Steffan Phillips, When the Birds Fly.
I work regularly with BACA (Butetown Arts and Culture Association) as a performer and dramatist, and recently worked as a creative practitioner with the charity The Wallich in a homeless hostel. I have a practical doctorate in the Welsh language which looks at 'The Welsh chapel, neighbourhood and performance'.
I'm a Mother, a community volunteer, and like to create work that looks at language (mainly Welsh), community, women and nature.
